Capturing employee data and salary information on payroll system
Labour law stipulates that all employees of the company must have a file where all necessary employee documentations are kept. This employee data must also be captured on the payroll system for the smooth running of the daily payroll functions as well as month end.
Issuing of IRP5 Certificates
An Employer has a duty to record each and every employee payroll details for the sake of annual reconciliation for PAYE tax. The employer is obliged to issue IRP5 to each and every employee for the employee to submit individual tax/ITR12.
This to be easily done the PAYE needs to be completed on a monthly basis.
Calculation of Third Party Payments
This can be a nightmare in many respects and needs proper system in place to reconcile from tax perspective to HR system for the smooth payment to the respective third party. This payments include PAYE, SDL, UIF, Workmen’s compensation and others.

Issuing of Payslip
According to labour Act employer must issue payslip to every employee every month. This payslip must include the cost to company and other benefits along with all statutory deductions attached to the employee cost to the company.
